Standard notices; available daily.

Checks are listed on the NSF Recap Report and NSF Combined Notices based on the Item Posting Sequence setting in bank option 0076.  If your bank is using the default value for bank option 0076 (Within Tran Code, Post Smallest to Largest), then you must also set online option 0088 so that the listing order on the Recap Report and NSF Notices match the posting order.

"After the fact" NSF Customer Notices are produced based on your decisions.  As a standard, separate notices are produced for checks paid and checks returned unpaid.

As an option (onl 0043) a combined notice can be produced that lists any items that were returned unpaid, the items that were paid, the amount of charges assessed, and any transfers that were made to cover the overdraft. ACH items will be listed with the first 8 characters of the ACH description.

If separate notices are produced, a customer may receive both PAID and RETURNED UNPAID notices for a given day depending on your decisions.

If no charge has been assessed, there will be no notation on the notice. If a charge has been assessed, the message "Your Account Has Been Charged XX.XX For Handling These Transactions" will be printed on the notice.

If you are using the Combined notices, you will receive the NSF Customer Transfer Notice. It will be printed right after the combined notice enabling you to send them both in the same envelope.

If you are using the option to Not Print NSF Notices when all items have been paid and no charges are assessed, the NSF Customer Transfer Notice will be produced. It is produced, primarily, to advise your customer that a transfer has been made to cover all items that were presented for payment.

If ATS funds from SAV or DDA are being used to cover the overdraft, the message "A Transfer of .00 Has Been Made From xxxx Account 12345678-00010 To Cover This Overdraft.  Your New xxxx Balance Is .00" will be printed on the notice (xxxx = Savings or Checking). If you are printing a combined  NSF notice, a separate Transfer Notice will be printed with the transfer information.

If ATS funds from LNS are being used to cover the overdraft, the message "A Transfer Of .00 Has Been Made From Loan Account 12345678-00010 To Cover This Overdraft. Your New Available Line Of Credit Is .00" will be printed on the notice. If you are printing a combined  NSF notice, a separate Transfer Notice will be printed with the transfer information.

The option you choose as your Reg CC Balance for paying checks (dda option 0723) will determine whether the available or current balance is printed on the notice. If you pay checks based on the available balance, the AVAILABLE BALANCE will be displayed on the notice instead of CURRENT BALANCE (for Online NSF only).

As an option you may choose NOT to include items on the NSF Customer Notice that were marked RT? = N and CH? = N. If all items are paid and not charged, no notice will be printed.

Only the transfer notice will be produced if you are using the option to Not Print NSF Notices when all items have been paid, no charges are assessed, and a transfer is taken.

A bank-defined remark (up to 40 characters) can be printed in the body of the notice, above the customer name. For example: Questions? (999)999-9999.

To enter a remark:
1. From NuPoint, click on Tasks.
2. Select Notice Remark under the NSF-Non Sufficient Funds menuNotice Remark under the NSF-Non Sufficient Funds menu.
3. Enter the remark and click OKEnter the remark and click OK.

By option, Alternate Addresses that are in effect for a DDA account can also be used as the delivery address for NSF and CBK notices (onl 0204). This eliminates the need to re-enter an alternate address on the NSF Alternate Address screen in order for it to be used.

The NSF/CBK Alternate Address Screen is used to establish additional addresses or addresses that are different from the DDA account for NSF and Chargeback Notice delivery.

For email delivery, you must set bank option 0272, set the Notice Delivery code, and establish a valid Email Address. These are emailed in generic laser format.

Name Line 3 and the Account Title are not printed in the mailing address portion for customer notices produced for ONL/NSF, ImageEIP, Chargeback/Re-Present, and Non-NSF.
