OOBA Admin Maintenance

Granting Permissions

To give a customer Out of Band Authenticator permissions, an Admin employee must first must have OOBA permissions to do so.

To give the employee OOBA permissions, go to the Security >> Employees tab. Open the Edit link on the employee record and check the box for Manage OOBA Users permissions.

Giving Customer OOBA Permission

Once an Admin user has the Manage OOBA Users permission, the Admin can search for a customer in the Security >> Customers tab and choose the appropriate OOBA Permissions for the customer.

Note: For OOBA Permissions to work for the customer, the Out of Band Authentication box must be checked.

To set the other Stop Points

  1. Click on Checking/Savings to filter by account.

  2. All stop points must be set per account if they are not already set in Account Defaults.

Deleting Device

If you are going to delete a device, it is important to delete the device and not the OOBA record.

Possible reasons to delete an OOBA device include:

  • Customer lost phone

  • Customer has new phone number

  • Customer is unable to complete OOBA set up

  • Customer is unable to log in (is not receiving push notification, text or call)

To delete a device:

  1. Click the Delete link that is to the left of the device name.

  2. You will then be prompted to verify the removal.

  3. Once deleted, the device will no longer display for the OOBA record.

Note: If the customer is unable to log in (is not receiving push notification, text, or call), there is a possibility that the customer never verified the device or activation link or even downloaded the app. This can be verified by looking at the OOBA record and the device attached to the record.

Defaulting customer OOBA Permission

  • For existing customers, contact the CRC to complete mass maintenance for the permissions needed.

  • For new customers, set default permissions.

To set default permissions, go to Bank Settings >> Accounts Default tab and choose the appropriate OOBA Permissions needed.

Note: For OOBA Permissions to work, you must have "Out of Band Authentication" checked under Customers.
